UE package not rendering to DK2?

We’re using Optitrack plugins and a DK2 to create a game in UE 4.10.4. The game runs fine in VR preview in the game window. I can package the game and it runs fine on the PC but it’s not rendering to the DK2 and it’s not picking up the DK2’s rotational tracking. It does however get the translations from the Optitrack system.

Is your project without Optitrack plugins rendering fine? If so, it seems there is a problem with Optitrack and since it’s a 3rd party plugin, you’ll need to contact them further for additional assistance.

Please try the following:

  • Package a template project and see if it renders with the plugin.
  • Package a template project and see if it renders without the plugin.
  • Provide me with the output logs.
  • Provide me with the logcat files.
  • Does this happen in 4.11?
  • What about 4.12?

Any logs provided, please make sure that you upload them with your next reply. To obtain the logcat files, do the following while the program is running on your device.

  • Attach your phone to the computer
  • Go here: C:\android-sdk-windows\tools
  • Open up Monitor.bat
  • Launch the program and save the logs

If you cannot get Monitor.bat to open, please go to:

  • C:\android-sdk-windows\tools\lib\monitor-x86
  • Open up Monitor.exe
  • Follow the instructions above

Make sure that you highlight all of the logs, because they do not save unless they’re highlighted.
