Hi all,

the newly introduced Sequencer from Version 4.12 allows you to do just that!
Just add a Sequencer, start the game, switch back to the editor, press record and it will record your HMD-view in all its glory without the black bars and in 1080p

Hi Chownas, thanks for the suggestion! I’ve been looking for this for ages.
One problem though: although I have a perfect 1080p output, my vive view gets distorted to the point it’s impossible to do anything.
Do you know how to record this way in a normal view?

Well you might record your movement using the Sequencer, which gives you the normal view and all and just afterwards record the video using the recorded movement.
I used that to do a greenscreen video

Hey Chownas. glad that you found a solution. But sadly I could follow your steps. When I open Window>Sequencer there is a empty grey window. Could you please describe it more in depth? How can i add the HMD_Root Cam? Or what did I have to add to the blank sequencer? Thanks alot!

cheers Rob

… I couldn’t follow your instructions I wanted to say
