Why wont my android game launch?,Android build wont launch but ios does. Why?

On my iphone 5, my fully completed game can be packaged and launched on the iPhone successfully, however, on my galaxy s5, my game will download but not launch. It just cuts to black. What could possibly be the problem here?,On my iphone 5, packaging and setup is easy and works. However, on my Galaxy S5 and on my other lower end android device, i can’t open my game. The game will download and build successfully, but it wont launch it when i press the icon. Tappy Chicken and Swing Ninja both work on my galaxy s5. My question is, how do i get my fully finished game to launch on android? ITS FINE ON IOS.

I think you have packaged a project including sound files for Android(Multi)

this is an unresolved issue and if you want to get it work you must use single texture formats to package your game.

I have the same problem on S5 as you.

package your game for ETC 1 , ETC 2 , ATC and so on but not multi or all

Thanks dude, I’ll check to see if that’s the problem. How do you fix it? I want to still have audio files.

And also, is it weird that when I try to launch it from the engine it won’t open either? It’s just splashscreen.

Btw, I have mobile HDR on and sound at the beginning of play

did you test it on other formats with mobile HDR off?

I have sound files in my game and I can launch it on S5 with mobile HDR off on ETC1, ETC2, ATC, ASTC, PVRTC and DXT but not multi and all.

you have to be looking forward this to fixed.

This is weird. My game launches perfectly fine with mobile HDR on or off when I package it on “all”. Sound works also. I guess only multi is broken? I can’t explain what happened but I’m happy it did.

UE-31981 has been put in for this issue. It has not been resolved at this time. Please reply back if you have any further questions.
