Different gamepad brands not working together

I am experiencing problems with multiple gamepad brands working at once within my coop game(local, no online/lan).
For example, using 2 xbox 360 controllers at once works nicely. But as soon as I use one xbox one controller then it’s not working anymore, only 1 controller at a time this way.
No-name controllers work fine also, it seems to be a xbox one thing :expressionless: Any clues?

Hello Virgil Tuser,

I was not able to reproduce this issue on our end. I have a few questions for you that will help narrow down what issue it is that you are experiencing.

Quick questions:

  1. Can you reproduce this issue in a clean project?
  2. If so, could you provide a detailed list of steps to reproduce this issue on our end.
  3. Could you provide screen shots of any settings/blueprints that may be involved with this issue?

Hello! This is feedback already given to me by a tester and can’t get a test daily from him. I’m personally having no trouble with 1 or 2 xbox 360 gamepads in windows 8.1.

Also, the project has started from UE version 4.10 if it means anything.

I should mention that just 1 pawn exists, which get’s created for each player. So no specifics in there, just get axis/ get button and “do that” in the blueprints. If it helps, this is the game mode which spawns the players and pawns. It’s get’s the player indexes from the game instance. I’m creating a player and passing down the index. Nothing special…

If it helps I’m more than willing to send a build or even the project… I will also send over more details as soon as I get them!

Please let me know if I can personally help with any other info.

More info!
So, regarding the controller support. The OS is windows 7 AND the user is reporting that regardless of the combination of controllers: xbox one, xbox 360 and a logitech gamepad, none can control more than 1 character.

Again, the number of players is sent to the game mode(posted above) through the main menu as a simple integer. I strongly believe that the blueprints integration method is NOT the fault. Players get created 100% and pawns get spawned. Just that controllers can’t move more than 1 player :\

Hello Virgil Tuser,

Thank you for the additional information. Would it be possible for you to provide a sample project that reproduces this issue so that I could take a closer look to make sure that we are on the same page?

Hello Virgil Tuser,
