Will the engine support SM5 with Vulkan in the future?

I’m looking to release a game to run on mid to high end PCs and I’m obviously looking to take advantage of APIs that cut down CPU overhead but I don’t want to be beholden to Windows 10 (as DirectX 12 does).

So Vulkan is interesting to me, but so far the engine seems to use it for mobile rendering only. Will there be full Vulkan support in the future, and if so, what’s the wait likely to be for those features? Or does it already work in that way, and I’m missing something entirely?

SM5 is working now on 4.16, but has more issues than SM4.
