Search help

  • Simple searches use one or more words. Separate the words with spaces (cat dog) to search cat,dog or both. Separate the words with plus signs (cat +dog) to search for items that may contain cat but must contain dog.
  • You can further refine your search on the search results page, where you can search by keywords, author, topic. These can be combined with each other. Examples
    • cat dog --matches anything with cat,dog or both
    • cat +dog --searches for cat +dog where dog is a mandatory term
    • cat -dog -- searches for cat excluding any result containing dog
    • [cats] —will restrict your search to results with topic named "cats"
    • [cats] [dogs] —will restrict your search to results with both topics, "cats", and "dogs"

Hey there,

I noticed the same issue the other day. While this is not a permanent fix (I still get some black pixels randomly) it does help.

In the details panel change the "Ground Offset" value to either 0 or the z-axis height of your landscape. I am not sure why it is set to -100000 by default, might be a bug, but adjusting it should help.

I've moved this thread over to Bug Reports so Epic is aware of the issue. Reproducing this is as simple as opening a new project with a blank level and adding an AtmosphericFog actor to the world. Changing the GroundOffset does help while the camera is near the surface, but there is still some issues when rotating or moving the camera up/down.

Thanks

Hi Luki,

This has already been reported with UE-30844.

If your comfortable editing .usf files this can be done locally on your machine in a Binary or Source build. It doesn't require a recompile of the engine only the shaders will recompile when you re-open the project.

This post contains the information you need to make the adjustments. https://answers.unrealengine.com/questions/429830/atmospheric-fog-colour-material-expression-broken.html

Thank you!
