Sprite deleting after teleport?

I am working on a very rough point and click game. Oe of the characters needs to teleport after a switch is hit but when they do their sprite is deleted. I can tell because the area they were supposed to teleport to has nothing there but I can still click on them and engage in dialogue. Does anyone know why this is happening or has had a similar predicament?

Try doing this:
Play the game.
Press Shift + F1 for mouse controls.
Move your camera around. Your sprite might be rotated and can’t be seen.

If you look in the World outliner, is there a reference to that sprite still existing in memory or not?

There is very little detail of what is going on. The problem could be that the static mesh is hidden. Are you traveling between levels or are you teleporting in the level.
