Is there any solution for Swarm Agent not making it to the blue bar on certain computers?

Hi Epic,

I posted a question quite some weeks ago but I haven’t received any answers to that. The problem is, while Swarm renders distributedly, basically no slave machines make it to the blue bar, they just stuck in the orange bar (collecting photons). I saw that a lot of users have run into the very same problem, and I tried out all of the suggestions, but none of them have worked so far (network setup, clean install of Editor, Windows versions and accounts, paths, etc).

Btw, this was the only topic with deeper discussion about the problem:

Now this is quite a huge issue as render times do matter (for instance, 30 hours vs 5 hours), especially for architectural visualizations where we tend to work under strict deadlines. So this problem causes a lot of trouble for us, 3d artists.

My question is, is there any official solution for this problem? This problem started back around switching to 4.10 (but maybe to 4.11, I can’t quite remember), before that, I hadn’t run into this problem. This might be a clue.

Thank you very much for dealing with this issue!

Regards,

I forgot, here’s the link for my previous question on Answerhub with screenshots included:

As far as i can tell, the host machine should have AllowLocalExecution set to “True”.
Otherwise it will end up doing all the work.
The downside is that you get your host machine power lost (despite the blue lines moving, check CPU load and final image)
Please let me know if that worked for you. This is a reproducable bug in that case
I am also attaching an example log from the job failed after just some seconds of rendering

This does not seem to solve it. Are there any other solutions to have all the swarm agents contribute to the Processing Mappings Phase?

I have the same issue. My render agent stops after the radiosity part just before the lines turn blue (maps processing).
It kinda makes the network rendering part useless. Any news on this?

Same here. I had it working fine but now the agent running on the 2nd machine restarts every time the blue phase is reached. The only reason I can see why this happens is a recent update of windows 10. Nothing else changed.
