How to exit Aim Down Sights on a controller

Greetings! I’ve been following this one guy’s tutorial series on making a third person shooter. Everything works, but he’s mapping everything on a mouse/keyboard layout, not a controller. I have my PS4 controller hooked up to the macintosh and everything works fine.

I push down the left trigger to enter ADS, but once I do that, it’s stuck there for the remainder of the test period. How do I go about making the game exit ADS once I let go of the left trigger?
