How to make camera still for a time in Sequencer

Hi.

I copy keys with Transform or Focal Length values along the sequence timeline (Alt+move keys) expecting to keep the same camera settings for the period of time between the keys.

However the camera doesn’t keep still in the time between the first key and the second one. Even though they have the exact same parameters, it doesn’t keep the same values between the two keys but floats: makes an undefined move (usually against the general camera direction) or changes focal length before it arrives in the second key which parameters are the same as the first key.

Why is that? Am I doing it wrong?

What is the way to make the camera keep the parameters defined in one key until the next one?

Hi,

Sounds like you need to set your Key Interpolation to Linear for those keyframes you want to hold: Select the keyframes, right click and choose “Linear” or hit the shortcut ‘4’. That will turn the keyframes in the UI from Red Circles (auto interpolation) to Green Triangles (linear interpolation).

You can also open up the curve editor and see how the curve interpolates between your keyframes.

Right. This works.

Thanks!
