in 2019 still i cant find solution  im making normal animation for this :frowning: can you find solution ??? cuz still i need this

Maybe you can add some bone for the hair than use simulate physics to handle the hair?

I am not sure about the editor implementation, but in the DCC (maya) implementation of Apex you can define a low res driving mesh which you paint all the attributes on. It is this low res mesh which is simulated and ultimately drives the high res mesh.

The benefit with that approach is that you can tailor the simulation mesh both in terms of compexity and topology without affecting the rendered mesh.

The workflow is to install the apex plugin in Maya, and use that (i am not in front of Maya at the moment, so i dont recall the exact option), then export your apex file and import it into the editor (rather than using the in built painting tools etc).

Its been a while since I did that, but it was the technique we utilised on Fable Legends with decent success.

In your case i’d recommend a low res cone mesh which allows some stretching, that might give you a decent result on the render mesh.
