Is unreal wysiwyg? viewport is too dark compare to package out scene

I load a interior project from a Digital Tutors . scene is too dark in both play and editor mode. but package out is perfect.

I checked viewport and engine render setting ,but not effect.

Hi there,

UE4 is wysiwyg for pretty much everything, but one thing that can be different is static lighting, which needs to be built before the changes are visible.

In the viewport what you see before the lighting is built is Dynamic Lighting only. To see the actual end result, after you make some changes to the scene make sure to:

Click on the “Build” button in the toolbar and select either Build All or Build Lighting Only

This will calculate the indirect lighting and bake it down to textures providing better performance than true full dynamic lighting. Anytime you see the text “Lighting Needs to be Rebuilt”, the scene will not be 100% accurate to end results, so build the lighting as you go.

Hope that helps,

Not to mention that if Funic’s monitor isnt calibrated, god knows what kind of contrast/colors/saturation/hue a scene will have.

thanks, your answer is very useful , but can not resolved , all lighting is builded, but still dark.

thanks, monitor is calibrated, the package out version is same in Tutors video, it is like viewport not render with correct exposure ,it’s not just a little dark. compare to package out version ,like 10 percent vs 100 percent.

thank all, problem is solved.engine scalabilty setting
