Viewport navigation wrong when looking down

Yes, I’ll probably be flamed for posting this as a bug, because ‘things has always been like this’.

Yet, IMO this is an extremely annoying bug: LMB+W & LMB+S are wrongly navigating in Local space.

Example:

A character is laying on the floor, looking up. You are (in the viewport) looking straight down at his belly!

You want to face his nose right on.

LMB+A/D works as expected, so you can look at his hands, but it is the nose you are going for…

In this position LMB+Z is doing the same as LMB+S which is doing the same as LMB+E

Yes: 3 buttons doing the exact same movement!!

They are all moving away from the character, which is totally useless for navigating to the nose.

And C, W and Q are all moving down towards the belly, which is just as useless for what should be fairly simple; finding the nose.

Who needs 3 keys doing the exact same thing? Who does not want to be able to move forward when looking down?

I am aware that dragging mouse up or down somewhat does the trick, but that is totally wacko, because dragging mouse left / right does not move towards hands, but spins the world. And dragging is not really nice for longer walks…

So if we where to place rocks or houses (pretty common use cases IMO) there’s a hefty amount of crazy mouse dragging combined with LMB+A/D taking place…

Just because ‘That’s how it has always been’.

Please, my life would be so much better if at least there was an option to set W+S work in world space.
