packed VR game crash right after launch

HI all,

My VR project is working fine when I do VR preview in the editor, and it packs OK for win 64.

I’m using the Truesky plugin, Razer hydra plugin and Ramas Victory plugin in engine version 4.11.2. I’m maually copying across the various plugin files as required to my build folder.

trying to run the packed .exe my game opens and crashes right away. I have successfully been able to build from this project before but I’ve added and changed quite a bit since the last build so it’s tricky to pinpoint the problem.

the log file from the crash is attached, hopefully someone can steer me in the right direction? Thanks!

I have a few questions for you that will help narrow down what issue it is that you are experiencing.

Quick questions:

  1. Can you reproduce this issue in a clean project with no 3rd party plugins?
  2. If so, could you provide a detailed set of steps to reproduce this issue on our end?
  3. Could you provide screen shots of any blueprints that may be involved with this issue?

I’m going to strip things down and gradually add the various components into an empty map, trying to isolate the problem.

I thought I would post the log just in case the answer was obvious to someone more familiar with crash logs.

If I still can’t work it out I’ll follow the steps you outlined. Thanks :slight_smile:

I think I’ve narrowed it down to Truesky. If I remove the truesky actor from my level, the build of the game does not crash.
