Search help

  • Simple searches use one or more words. Separate the words with spaces (cat dog) to search cat,dog or both. Separate the words with plus signs (cat +dog) to search for items that may contain cat but must contain dog.
  • You can further refine your search on the search results page, where you can search by keywords, author, topic. These can be combined with each other. Examples
    • cat dog --matches anything with cat,dog or both
    • cat +dog --searches for cat +dog where dog is a mandatory term
    • cat -dog -- searches for cat excluding any result containing dog
    • [cats] —will restrict your search to results with topic named "cats"
    • [cats] [dogs] —will restrict your search to results with both topics, "cats", and "dogs"

Are there any tutorials on performance optimization and resource management?

My first Project in Unreal got me a lot of insight on how AAA game engines function. I also got a lot of complaints on my first project performance issues. I've seen a rare post here and there talking about methods of making resources smaller but nothing specific. So are there any tutorials or readables on how to manage your resources properly and manage your projects assets for optimized performance, LOD, de-spawning things like that?

Tobius, not sure if this is the type of info you're looking for, but this YouTube video playlist from Epic has some good videos on performance optimization that I got a lot out of. http://www.youtube.com/playlist?list=PLZlv_N0_O1gbVthdOKMgr3IVP6LZpST2f
