Bad collision on spline landscape

I’m having a problem where my car object will stick way above the correct collison mesh of the spline road, as you can see on the image.

What could be causing this problem? The collision for the road mesh is set up properly. If I just place the static object of the road, the collision works perfectly. As can be seen on the image below.

I’m having this issue with any mesh I use for the spline road, with my car object being placed way above where it should be. Any suggestions?
