Search help

  • Simple searches use one or more words. Separate the words with spaces (cat dog) to search cat,dog or both. Separate the words with plus signs (cat +dog) to search for items that may contain cat but must contain dog.
  • You can further refine your search on the search results page, where you can search by keywords, author, topic. These can be combined with each other. Examples
    • cat dog --matches anything with cat,dog or both
    • cat +dog --searches for cat +dog where dog is a mandatory term
    • cat -dog -- searches for cat excluding any result containing dog
    • [cats] —will restrict your search to results with topic named "cats"
    • [cats] [dogs] —will restrict your search to results with both topics, "cats", and "dogs"

Problem with lighting and modular walls/seams/clipping

wall problem

It's exactly the same model I made with 3dsmax, aligned with vertex snapping in UE4. How can I avoid that seam?

When I push them into each other, I have clipping/flickering, if I snap them, I have that seam. The wall segments are all differently bright and I don't get why.

And: Is there something wrong with using BSP brushes instead of imported models?

Product Version: UE 4.12

This is a known issue when using the modular elements. You need to decrease Static Lighting Level Scale to 0.1 and increase Indirect Lighting Quality. You will then get more samples of the light and the light will be built more accurately.

This thread contains a lot of tips and tricks on how to fix lighting of modular elements.
