Search help

  • Simple searches use one or more words. Separate the words with spaces (cat dog) to search cat,dog or both. Separate the words with plus signs (cat +dog) to search for items that may contain cat but must contain dog.
  • You can further refine your search on the search results page, where you can search by keywords, author, topic. These can be combined with each other. Examples
    • cat dog --matches anything with cat,dog or both
    • cat +dog --searches for cat +dog where dog is a mandatory term
    • cat -dog -- searches for cat excluding any result containing dog
    • [cats] —will restrict your search to results with topic named "cats"
    • [cats] [dogs] —will restrict your search to results with both topics, "cats", and "dogs"

Capsule shadows bug - hash pattern [4.12.4]

This doesn't happen all the time, and I have only noticed it recently. The capsule shadows seem to bug out. See the screenshot.

Focusing out of the game seem to fix it. Focusing in the game window seem to break it again.

Not sure what more information to provide. It was working fine a few days ago. Maybe my scene got more complex?

I can actually provide more information now. I've worked out that this happens if the skeletal mesh is scaled in the character blueprint. I've reapplied the scaling using the lock this time and it seems to work fine again. Just FYI.

Actually a work around is to turn off Capsule Indirect Shadows in the lighting of the Mesh within the character BP.alt text

Hi Keyle,

we had a similar issue we solved by updating the NVidia drivers to the latest version (from 14/07/2016) and using a minimum shadow quality of 3 on our scalability settings
