Hairworks Bald Spots

Hey all,

I’m having trouble with getting all my hair to come over from Maya to UE4. My pipeline works but in UE4 not all the hair is displayed and only part of the growth mesh gets imported. The geometry of my growth mesh isn’t very complicated so I’m not sure what the problem is.

Here is the top of a head and you can see the highlighted growth mesh in yellow. For some reason its coming in spotty while it’s supposed to be all connected like a scalp would be.

Any thoughts?

So it appears my growth mesh was too complex. I think the initial triangles in the mesh messed things up too. I’m remaking a very simple head growth mesh now out of quads in maya and that seems like it’s going to work.
