"Trailing" Character-Silhouettes on my Landscape... Why?

Fixing this has been on my ToDo list like forever, but I still don’t understand why it is happening

I don’t know if the problem occurs on all “backgrounds” or just with my landscape. Anyway, it’s just an ordinary landscape material, nothing fancy.

When I have motion on the screen, there are always visible trails of the silhouettes of characters visible on my landscape material for a few frames. It’s rather ugly and I want to get rid of whatever effect that is.

I thought it’s probably post-processing → motion blur, but I’m pretty sure I turned it off using a global postprocessing volume. Then I thought maybe it has something to do with the material in the background (landscape), but as I said, it’s really just a basic diffuse/specular/normal material.

How do I fix this blurry mess?

The problem gets bigger, the more reflection there is on the background material. When I set a high metallic-value, it’s extreme. Is this intended??

This is most likely caused by TemporalAA

Thanks you so much

I played around with pretty much every material- & postprocessing option. Nothing seemed to fix the problem. I also changed the AA method in my global postprocessing volume, but somehow I must have missed it

What on earth is the purpose of temporal AA anyway? Why would anyone want this effect?

I was just gonna upload a picture when I saw someone had finally answered.

Well, because I put so much effort in it, I’m gonna post it anyway… xD
Maybe it can help someone with the same problem find this solution.
Left side is while standing still, right is while turning to the left.

Thanks again!
