Search help

  • Simple searches use one or more words. Separate the words with spaces (cat dog) to search cat,dog or both. Separate the words with plus signs (cat +dog) to search for items that may contain cat but must contain dog.
  • You can further refine your search on the search results page, where you can search by keywords, author, topic. These can be combined with each other. Examples
    • cat dog --matches anything with cat,dog or both
    • cat +dog --searches for cat +dog where dog is a mandatory term
    • cat -dog -- searches for cat excluding any result containing dog
    • [cats] —will restrict your search to results with topic named "cats"
    • [cats] [dogs] —will restrict your search to results with both topics, "cats", and "dogs"

[Gear VR] Media Player works 50% of the time

Hey I've noticed a problem with the Media Player when building for the GearVR..I have a scene where you spawn into a lobby area and you can look at different boxes to load into a level with a giant sphere with a panoramic video on (using the media player)..however the first time you load into one of the levels the panoramic video plays fine but when you go back to the lobby area by using the touch button and go back into one of the panoramic levels there is just artifacting on the floor but the audio plays fine. If I go back to the main lobby again and go into the panoramic level for a 3rd time it works fine again but when I go back and into it again for the 4th time it doesn't work again...etc

I've also noticed that if I build the apk with the GearVR plugin turned off and the GoogleVR plugin turned on the panoramic videos will play every time with no problems but the quality of the AA/resolution is worse (and I can't seem to change that)

Hello Antm4n,

I have a few questions for you that will help narrow down what issue it is that you are experiencing.

Quick questions:

  1. Can you reproduce this issue in a clean project?

  2. If so, could you provide detailed list of steps to reproduce this issue on our end?

  3. Could you provide screen shots of any settings/blueprints that may be involved with this issue?

Hey I've been messing around with it today and I've seemed to of fixed it.

My original setup was the default Unreal sphere with the material applied to it with the "Two Sided" option ticked. I exported the sphere, loaded it up in 3ds max and flipped the normals and reimported it. I unticked the two sided option on the material and replaced the sphere with the new one and everything seems to be working fine.
