Search help

  • Simple searches use one or more words. Separate the words with spaces (cat dog) to search cat,dog or both. Separate the words with plus signs (cat +dog) to search for items that may contain cat but must contain dog.
  • You can further refine your search on the search results page, where you can search by keywords, author, topic. These can be combined with each other. Examples
    • cat dog --matches anything with cat,dog or both
    • cat +dog --searches for cat +dog where dog is a mandatory term
    • cat -dog -- searches for cat excluding any result containing dog
    • [cats] —will restrict your search to results with topic named "cats"
    • [cats] [dogs] —will restrict your search to results with both topics, "cats", and "dogs"

Cannot change the case on folder names

this is a 4.12 binary build

the bug is when trying to rename a folder in the world outliner by only changing the case on the first letter, it keeps the orginal case and ignores the change.

Example: trying to rename a folder: map -> Map = map

Product Version: UE 4.12

Hi Mr.Brightside95,

I was able to reproduce this and have entered the following bug report: JIRA UE-33018. When this has been resolved, we will notify you with an update to this post. In the meantime you can use the following workaround to change the case of folder names in the World Outliner: Change folder name "Map" to "maps." Then rename "maps" to "map."
