Problem when importing Smooth Shaded object from blender

I have a problem when I import a .fbx mesh from blender into UE4. I get these dark shading artifacts.

However, when I change it from smooth shading to flat shading, these dark spots go away.

In both cases, when I export I have smoothing applied to face (as opposed to edge or normals only).

This is a skeletal mesh you are importing right?

There are some options in blender to check on export:

Hope this helps, this solved shading problems for me because it made sure I was able to import my smoothing groups.

7 hours of trying to figure out why my mesh was having weird triangle artifact erosion nonsense all over it every time I imported the skeletal mesh (even though importing it as static looked fine). Looked at dozens of threads, did everything, tried so many different settings: and it was this. Just the Normal Import Method not being set to Import Normals instead of Calculate. Dear god. Thank you from far in the future.
