Where did the Actor Merging tool go?

In the youtube channel of Unreal you’ve once posted a video about “Creating Interactions in VR with Motion Controllers”. Towards the end of the video Sam Deiter introduces a new experimental tool called “Actor Merging”, which allows you to merge several static meshes into one single mesh and lets the engine also create a material/texture atlas for you. Which is quite nice.

Now the big question: Where did the actor merging tool go? And if it’s gone, is there another one doing the exact same job integrated in the engine? Any suggestions?

Was it replaced with the implementation of Simplygon?

Many thanks in advance for any help.

Cheers
