Rigged Model floating on import.. will this be a problem?

My models root joint is 0,0,0 in maya. On import the preview for the model has the model floating… in editor when i place it it still places correctly. The question is will this somehow screw me down the line when i start converting animations from other models ???.. etc etc…

Also why is this happening?

This usually occurs when the bounds of the mesh extend below the root. Sometimes this happens because of a stray polygon. The floor in persona adjusts to the bounds, but you can override it from Show>Scene Setup>Floor Offset.

In maya there’s select by name tool tab.

I already tried to export as .fbx file by selecting all binded joints (e.g. bind_). then export selection as fbx file. I don’t remember what settings by the default fbx export selection. And make it sure FBX file type as Binary and Fbx 2016/2017 version.

It works for me.
