Problem launching unreal on my PC

So I have UE4 on my mac but it’s pretty slow so I got it on my PC and had to upgrade my stock 4GB ram to 8GB ram which I thought would fix problem but still when I double click on letter U unreal icon nothing happens, Can anyone help, thanks.

Try with “Run as Adrministrator”

I tried that one already but still doesn’t work :confused: so i’m curious why it works on mac but slow and won’t even launch on pc?

Can you also please attach your Dxdiag report?

We have had this reported by a few other users, and they all have graphic cards well under our recommended specs which seems to be causing a rendering failure in Launcher.

I see I see well these are specs of my computer
AMD Phenom X4
9150e Quad-Core
Processor
8GB system memory
NVDIA GeForce 6150 SE Graphics

I don’t get any kind of error message at all. Nothing just happens when I double click on icon

log can be found here:

C:\Users\USER.NAME\AppData\Local\UnrealEngineLauncher\Saved\Logs

Just make sure you get it after a failed attempt.

When you run dxdiag, it will give you option to “Save All Information”, which creates a .txt file which you can attach.

I don’t know where to find latest log after a fail attempt but I did find dxdiag file but when I go to attach it I get message

“This attachment is not permitted because file type is invalid”

Thanks. It does look like you’re using an under-spec graphics card, but we’ll look into whether that’s causing problem. Can you find and attach Launcher Log? It can be found here:

Okay, two quick things to check. Can you redownload installer from https://www.unrealengine.com/ and install that? There was an update for Launcher, but you won’t get it if you can’t open Launcher to begin with.

Then can you check and make sure drivers for your graphics card are up to date?
