I’ve brought in an animated box, which represents the path I would like the player pawn to travel. The player pawn is parented to a socket in the animated object. In ‘Simulate’ mode, the animation plays quite happily. In ‘Play’ mode however, if I look ‘forward’, the animation will simply freeze. Strangely, looking at the ground/feet/down will make the animation continue to play from where it is (It doesn’t catch up, it just continues to play). Looking forwards again will freeze the animation once again.
Only the animation freezes, the game is quite happy to continue as normal, rendering, game logic etc all continue as planned.
Animation is a single ‘box’, 4000 frames, imported as a rigid body with animation ticked. Animation is played through an animation asset, which is generated on import.
Currently the only option I can see is to animate in matinee, which is a bit poor as curve editors go. Any ideas?
Is this a bug? It feels like an issue with gimbal/rotation locking? This is a very easy issue to replicate, as it has been a problem on multiple projects.
