Assertion Failed

Keep getting this and crashing:
Assertion failed: IsValid() [File:C:\Blahblahblah_Dev\Dev\Engine\Source\Runtime\Core\Public\Templates\SharedPointer.h] [Line: 728]

I also see this a lot, wondering if connected:
LogVoiceDecode: VOIP audio component was starved!

Any ideas?

Hello,

Could you please cause the crash to occur again, and provide the following information:

  • The logs from your project’s Saved->Logs folder.
  • If you are getting a crash reporter window, please provide your Machine ID and ensure to hit Send & Close.
  • Can you reproduce this issue in a clean project?
  • If so, please provide a detailed list of repro steps.
  • Does this occur if you open a copy of your project in 4.12.5?

Thank you for providing the logs.

I have a few additional questions as well:

  • If you are getting a crash reporter window, please provide your Machine ID and ensure to hit Send & Close.
  • Can you reproduce this issue in a clean project?
  • If so, please provide a detailed list of repro steps.
  • Does this occur if you open a copy of your project in 4.12.5?

“If you are getting a crash reporter window, please provide your Machine ID and ensure to hit Send & Close.” I dont get a window with options.

“Can you reproduce this issue in a clean project?” We have tried multiple builds.

“If so, please provide a detailed list of repro steps.” We cant narrow it down,it only happens on a particular game mode.

“Does this occur if you open a copy of your project in 4.12.5” We are not upgrading.

FYI this is a game already live in early access. I am not the developer, just the tester trying to pin down the issue.

In order to reproduce the crash, I’ll need some information regarding your setup.

  • Are you working in C++ or Blueprints?
  • Do you have a project where this is reliably occurring that you can provide?
  • Can you provide some detail regarding when the crash is occurring in your project?
