Differences between types of material alignment

Hello. Im a newbie to the Unreal engine 4 and I have a question. What are the differences between the Types of alignment at the geometry editor for materials. These are surface default, surface planar, surface planar wall, and so on. Please help me, cuase sometimes the materials I Use look very good, then very bad, although I use the same alignment button. Often I use surface box, but I guess planar wall is better for static meshes, like walls and floors.
