Shooter Game ran as dedicated server has rendering issues on the weapon

When you run an untouched shooter game with Dedicated Server option enabled you will get some weired weapon rendering issue in the editor as well as in standalone builds. (tried on ATI and NVIDIA rigs including a 780ti and a 6990HD)

When I tried to make a screenshot to show the effect everything looked fine even though there is actually a very noticeable undesired left-right movements going on with the gun when you rotate the mouse. (like if the position of the gun is being set at 2 different positions in alternating frames).

I noticed that this does not seems to happen if you are in the air (falling or right after you jump) unless you press moving keys left right up down while in the air!

I can also confirm this effect is happening in the normal mode (non dedicated server) both on editor and stand alone builds but it is not as much noticeable (especially noticeable with strong contrasts ; bright background and large darker gun). This effect is non-existent if you shoot while standing still; The gun is moving when you shoot and yet the border artifacts are not occuring which further leads me to think it has to do with something going wrong the way the gun is following the position/rotation of the player?

I suppose it has to do with the weapon being ‘parented’ wrongly to the player’s position though we haven’t found the actual cause of this yet.

Are you planning to fix this?

Hi bigzer,

Thanks for the feedback. This was a known issue that has been fixed in our internal build. You should see a fix in a future update.

Thanks, TJ

Thank you TJ, this sounds great, I hope the release note explains what it was

See you later!
