World moving with HMD?

I created a project and setup a character pretty similar to the first person template character. Under the camera, there is a setting called “Use Pawn Control Rotation”. After setting it to true, when ever I walk around in room scale VR, the world moves with the camera. I’ve compared my character with the template character and I can’t find any differences. Also, after setting “Use Pawn Control Rotation”, if I set it to false, then my Movement Controller no longer rotates my character with mouse x. I need to do more testing to determine if this is a bug but I wanted to put it out there just in case someone knows what the issue might be.

Also, it would be extremely helpful if my editor didn’t minimize every time I started a VR preview. I’m losing an insane amount of productivity because of this. Terrible design decision.

After further testing, I have concluded that there is some sort of movement correction or something going on. Obviously a bug. If the movement controller is rotated, it will be perfect at one point. But at 180 degrees that, it appears that the world moves with the HMD. Still Testing

You call it a bug - I call it my solution lol! Thank you for this share - I am attempting to have the player stationary and the world move around them constantly - throughout the entire project - will share my experiments. Any advice or guidance?

Thank you! Hope life is good =D

Like imagining look at a path - a distant tree - and then suddenly the world moves closer to that tree. I was thinking about moving the landscape and the actors themselves in a timeline or matinee - am I on the right thought track here?

I’m talking about VR of course.
