Force full rebuild of project .exe file

While doing some test packaging, I’ve noticed that my project exe file never gets rebuilt, even though the “Full Rebuild” option is checked in ProjectSettings->Packaging->Project->Full Rebuild (in the advanced drop-down pane). The timestamp on the executable goes back at least a week, probably from the very first time I did a test build of this particular project.

Anyway, this is a Blueprint-only project at the moment, running on Windows 7.

I’ve tried all sorts of voodoo and cargo-cult incantations to force a truly full rebuild without any cached stuff getting in the way: moving the Source and Build directories out of the project directory, cleaning out all the files in the Saved and Intermediate directories, and then run packaging again, but to no avail. I’m still stuck with a week old executable.

So how do I get packaging to rebuild the executable?

Sidenote: I suspect this could possibly be the reason behind the icon problem discussed in How do I change the icon and name of my packaged game? - Platform & Builds - Epic Developer Community Forums since, presumably, icons are embedded into the executable rather than linked from an external file. Or maybe I’m way off here…

I’m having the same issue… anyone?
