I am a student and have a pocket money of less than 20$ a month .It is not possible for me to buy assets from market place .How to i get goood free assets compilable wit unreal engine 4.12?PLEASE HELP!! AND COMMENT.
You can look through places like turbosquid. for fbx models. They have some free and cheap. You can get free textures from cgtextures. and some people have made free examples of their work in unreal for download just search around the unreal forums. There is an excellent re creation of a witcher map for download.
You can also get a 3d modeling program, Blender which is open source and very easy to learn. Also Allegorithmic announced that they will be releasing their very powerful material editor suite Substance for free on personal use license. Hope that helps.

Blender is a good program. I have used it for 9 years. It was made to be an in house 3d modeling and animation package for a studio in the Netherlands that went under. So the creators of blender didn’t want their hard work building it to go to waste so they released it. Being free and open source the only major updates on it comes when someone contributes. The blender foundation decides what to include in their updates so there is a measure of quality control. But that is why many professionals kind of look down on blender as a program for game dev. There are many good tutorials on you tube showing how to make models for unreal and feel free to ask here any questions you have I will try to help any way I can.

there is another good website for free assets .tf3dm. This website contains many good models both in purchasable and free category.Surely visit this website.The models are good and are categorized systematically as low poly ang high poly too depending on your requirement.
