    • cat +dog --searches for cat +dog where dog is a mandatory term
    • cat -dog -- searches for cat excluding any result containing dog
    • [cats] —will restrict your search to results with topic named "cats"
    • [cats] [dogs] —will restrict your search to results with both topics, "cats", and "dogs"

Just to make it sure: Desktop computers have far more power and are in general much better to do heavy computing (like running ue4 + visual studio) than laptops. But of course you can develop on a laptop but you might have to face (little) waiting times in your workflow. Your laptop specs seem to be enough to run the engine. But it will not be able to handle larger projects because 4GB RAM are just not enough. I would recommend to upgrade your laptop to 8GB RAM and an SSD drive and then you should be good to go.
