4.13 VR Template Teleport Preview Bug

Hello, just letting you guys know that I believe the teleportation preview (Chaperone bounds mainly) could be improved.

Currently you guys decided to allow the user to rotate their play space before the teleport (emulating The Gallery) however there is currently (in 4.14 Preview 1) a bug where you do not separate the players look direction from the chaperone rotation.

To illustrate this have a look at these two GIFs:

You’ll notice that in the first GIF the players head rotation is separate from the chaperone bounds (as it is in real life) and in the second GIF it is not.
This leads to a few bugs, the most prevalent being that (as you are assuming the player is always facing their chaperone forward direction) if the user teleports when they are facing anywhere but forward then the preview arrow will be incorrect and they will end up facing the wrong direction.

Anyway I know its still in preview so hopefully this can be addressed (if it hasn’t already) before the official release is out.

Oh and nice job on the template, I have some other feedback on some of the design choices but I’ll leave that for another thread.

Ah, thanks, I looked on answer hub before posting but didn’t think to look at the issues tracker. Should be a fairly easy fix so hopefully its fixed soon :slight_smile:
