Ragdoll Mesh stretches around bones

Hello everyone,

I have created a very simple model with a very simple skeleton in Maya. I have imported it into Unreal (at a scale of 15.0, but this problem seems to be there with a scale of 1 as well). I don’t know much about creating ragdolls, so I have been creating a physics asset and leaving the options as the default. When I try to simulate the ragdoll, the mesh stretches around like mad, and I can see that the mesh is stretching out around its bones. The video below displays it.

I’m not sure if it’s an issue with my settings in Unreal or something I’m doing in Maya. Any advice to get this working would be very much appreciated.

See this thread. Unreal doesn’t handle meshes with any scale on them when making ragdolls. You need to take off all the scale and reimport them.
