Breakable/dismemberment character system
Not too sure which section to post this in so sorry in advance if I got it wrong!
In short I've got a game concept that requires a character to be breakable.. by that I mean able to lose limbs, get cut in half, blown up and so on.. I'm just curious if such things can be achieved in UE4? Had a look around but so far haven't found anything too helpful. I know obviously if the character was made like a crash test dummy, out of separate parts, then it could be achieved pretty easily.. but I mean the character model to be a single mesh- it's a wolf!
Would any kind of dismemberment system be possible or am I going about this all wrong?
