Static meshes partially disappearing

I’m running Unreal Engine 4.12.5 from Github source in Ubuntu 16.04. My has an Intel Pentium G3258 @3,2ghz with 8gb DDR3 1333mhz and an XFX AMD Radeon R7 260x 2gb on a 1680x1050 monitor. I’m using an Adata SP550 ssd for storage.
Wenever I build lighting parts of the meshes suddenly dissapear. When I click on play i can fall and move through these holes. (See image 1)
When I take one mesh and move it the holes dissapear but the the sunlight suddenly shines through the meshes.
Can someone please help me with this issue.

Hello,

Is your normals are correctly oriented ?

I haven’t changed anything in settings. How do I check this?

in a modeling software (3ds max, blender, maya…)
Have you tried to apply a 2 sided material ?

Hey GlassBoxGaming-

I have not experienced mesh segments disappearing when building lighting. If you have a specific mesh that this occurs with, please provide a copy of the asset for me to test directly. If this issue is happening reliable, it may also be helpful if you can provide a sample project that shows a mesh disappearing when the build lighting button is pressed.

Hey GlassBoxGaming-

We have not heard back from you in a few days, so we are marking this post as Resolved for tracking purposes. If you are still experiencing the issue you reported, please respond to this message with additional information and we will follow up.

Cheers

I’m still having trouble with this but I’ve messed up and accidentally erased my second hard drive which stored my grub boot loader. I still have the files of my project but I can’t access them.

I’m having this problem on all projects in my ubuntu machine. I will send you a copy of one of those projects as soon as I can get back into my pc.

Could you elaborate on your previous comment? Are you unable to open the project at all at this point? Do you have the issue of parts of your mesh disappearing across multiple meshes/projects? If so, could you provide a copy of one of the assets that is breaking?

Hey GlassBoxGaming-

I was wondering if you’re still having the issue with your meshes disappearing? Unfortunately without a way to reliably reproduce the issue, we are unable to take further action at this time. If you are able to provide a sample project with this issue, please feel free to leave a comment to reopen the thread.

Cheers

I created a second project in ue4 which has the same problem, how can i send this to you?

If you zip the project, you should be able to attach it to your reply here or you can upload the project and provide the download link.

Here is my other project. I also included screenshots of the problem in this level.

Here’s my other project. I also included screenshots of the glitch.

Hey GlassBoxGaming-

What level should I be opening when I load the project? It opens to the default First Preson Shooter template level and the only levels in the Maps folder are other default Template levels (Advanced_Lighting, Minimal_Default, StarterMap). Can you explain what needs to be done to see the mesh errors after loading the project?

I think i figured it out. Stupid me forgot to properly install the AMD drivers in Ubuntu.
Thanks for your time.
