How to create realistic lighting?

how do I create realistic lighting as shown in one of the community project? What is the process followed to create realism .Please help!!!

Depends a lot on how much performance you’re going to sacrifice for it.

Also keep in mind that lighting alone wont create the “Realism” you want… Post Processing also plays a big role in it.

I personally start by adding a Directional Light and a skylight. then from there I tweak the value of the light such as intensity, temperature, etc etc. Then the rest is post processing for me and most importantly settings like color grading, AO, etc. etc.

Also personally I’d like to go stationary skylight because of wanting AO on my materials but then again that totally depends on you.

Depends on What I see realistic may be a hoax for you. Then it may vary from user to user . But , I am looking for a more permanent solution rather than depend on my knowledge. Could you share the details of how you decide lighting and with a few images if possible elijabdar. Thanks.
