Play Sound Randomly Delayed

I assume this is as a bug since whenever I want to play a sound there’s a random delay duration to start the sound itself. I put the string “START” to compare from one playback and the other, from what I get, sometimes the audio is played after 3 seconds delay, but sometimes longer/shorter than that.

Here’s the test code that I just tried:

*The Spacebar input is irrelevant with the other code.

Unfortunately I have not been able to reproduce this on my end.

  • Does this occur in a clean, blank project with no additional content or is it limited to one project?
  • What steps can I take to reproduce this on my end?
  • Does the sound spawn immediately when no delay is present?

Sorry for the late reply, I forgot to close this thread since I already found a solution. Apparently this is UE’s bug, and after updating my version from 4.12.3 to 4.12.5 it works fine now.

I can confirm the sound delay on the android from 18 to 23 version of the engine. You need to devote more time to testing and employ qualified personnel.
