4.1.1 NOTHING seems fixed

This completely show stopping issue - unfixed:

This pretty serious issue - unfixed:

I’m honestly wondering if we can continue to develop using unreal. We have products we would like to ship, but the software does not work. These are easy issues - unfixed. Getting frustrated.

They have fixed a lot of issues in each release they have produced, just because a couple of problems you are experiencing have not been fixed as of yet does not mean nothing has been fixed. But regardless of any of that, you have access to the full source, if these are really show stopping to you and easy issues as you put it, how about having a go at fixing them so you can get your games shipped, and even submit a PR to Epic to have it merged into the main branch. If your not a programmer (Or do not have the necessary skill) then either find someone who can, or post in the forums outlining the issue and what you believe the fix to be, I’m sure if its as easy an issue as you state, someone would be willing to fix it. Otherwise you’ll just have to wait, Epic will eventually fix the issue in a later release (If they haven’t already in the master branch)

Yes and if you buy jeans that fall apart you should not complain as you have access to a sowing machine. I appreciate access to the source code, but why would I think they would do any better with code changes. There is an big schedule of new features I see, again much appreciated, but not at the expense of getting the fundamental things fixed to get the software working. These issues have been reported many times by many people since day one. The problems just seem to be dragging on and on.

Hi gwoodruf,

I’m sorry you’re still having these issues, but they are relatively new in comparison to what we were fixing for the 4.1.1 update. Both of the issues you mentioned above were assigned to a developer and are still being looked into.

Your patience is much appreciated.

Thanks, TJ

Ok thanks. If a system could be developed where you could stay this fix is planned in the 4.1.X release happening “about November” or something - then at least would allow us to plan around it. As is it’s difficult to maintain a stream of costs when you can’t bet on a release date.
