Destructible mesh not working on Mac

Hi, I’ve followed tutorial on making a destructible mesh exactly and it doesn’t work. It doesn’t create a fractured mesh. I’m using UE4.1.1 on OSX Mavericks.

Steps to reproduce:

double click on chair mesh. give it a collider, then right click chair and click destructible mesh.
Click on Fracture mesh and nothing happens.

Currently Destructible Meshes do not work on Mac. This is a known issue and we are working on resolving it, but it is somewhat complex and may take some time. Sorry for inconvenience.

Are they going to fix this anytime soon? I did not know this was an issues when I got this engine and I really wanted to be able to create destructible environments and only have my Mac available to me at this time. If not is there some place I can find already created destructible meshes that will load into my game and function properly?

developers have not yet found source of this bug on Mac, but they have been so swamped with other bugs for next release that they haven’t had a lot of time to spend on it yet. After speaking with them, it sounds like they will be looking into it more shortly. I will try to remember to update you here when I hear there’s been progress. Thanks for your patience!

Destructibles should be working in 4.4, which you can preview now and which should be officially released soon. There are some other Mac issues in 4.4, but hopefully those will be fixed by official release.
