Animtrail with inconsistent behaviour

So I’ve been using Animtrail and I got the hand of it. The problem is, it’s very inconsistent. What I mean is that in some animations it plays incredibly well, but in others it simply disappears without a trace.

I’ve tried changing particle size, spawn, direction; even changing the skeletal meshe’s scale to see if that changed anything; and even changing the socket sizes on the notify event. I’ve pretty much tried everything I can think of but the behaviour is always the same.

I’ve also searched the web for someone with a similar problem but suprisingly I haven’t found anything. It should also be noted that I’ve tried it with different meshes and the end result is the same.

The strangest thing to me is that it also seems to be a problem of angle, as some anim trail animations work one side but not the other. Having changed the camera to a complete third person view however, the results were exactly the same.

I’m pretty sure this is a bug, but if not, I’d like to understand what is happening.

If anyone ever has the same problem, I figured out it was because I needed to put the material of the trail as two sided.
