Packaging a game with an SWindow Slate Widget

Hello,

I need to package a game with an SWindow slate widget in it. The game contains nothing but one single SWindow. It works perfectly in the editor, but displays a blank screen on packaging.

In the editor, the new SWindow turns up perfectly and I can add functionality to it, as I wish. In the packaged version, I see 2 windows on my taskbar, but my screen is blank.

Could someone please help me out with this?

Thanks!

Hello ,

I have a few questions for you that will help narrow down what issue it is that you are experiencing.

Quick questions:

  1. Can you reproduce this issue in a clean project?
  2. If so, could you provide a detailed list of steps to reproduce this issue on our end?
  3. Could you provide any code and/or screen shots of blueprints that may be involved with this issue?

Hello Rudy,

Appreciate the help. To answer your questions:

  1. Yes, I can.
  2. I simply opened a project, added and empty SWindow widget, and built. I ran it in the editor, it works perfectly well. I then packaged it and get a black screen.
  3. I have uploaded my project here: https://dl.dropboxusercontent.com/u/34857576/UE4_Slate_Error/HelloSlate.zip The build is in a folder inside named “Dropbox-build”. It simply contains an empty project with the code for one SWindow widget.

Thanks!

Hi Rudy,

Did you get a chance to look at this?
