Search help

  • Simple searches use one or more words. Separate the words with spaces (cat dog) to search cat,dog or both. Separate the words with plus signs (cat +dog) to search for items that may contain cat but must contain dog.
  • You can further refine your search on the search results page, where you can search by keywords, author, topic. These can be combined with each other. Examples
    • cat dog --matches anything with cat,dog or both
    • cat +dog --searches for cat +dog where dog is a mandatory term
    • cat -dog -- searches for cat excluding any result containing dog
    • [cats] —will restrict your search to results with topic named "cats"
    • [cats] [dogs] —will restrict your search to results with both topics, "cats", and "dogs"

[BUG] Unable to use custom vehicle. Instant Editor Crash

Using Vehicle Blueprint Template and Vehicle Tutorial on UDN as a reference i made my own vehicle. Everything compiles fine and when i press play my car spawns without issues. But the moment i press W the whole editor goes Not Responding. It crashes in the background (i can see all the dump files) but no error message is displayed. I have attached both my vehicle files and logs including Crash dump files.

Hey Satheesh,

Just wanted to throw some more information your way--the crash you are hitting can be worked around by changing your wheels' mass setting. In your Maserati_BP blueprint, go to Defaults > Vehicle Setup > Wheel Setups and for each wheel, change the Mass setting to 20.0. After changing of each these settings, I was able to PIE and use WASD to move around the vehicle without crashing in Rocket Beta 5.

Let me know if you're able to change these settings on your local files and circumvent the crash.

Thanks!

-Steve

Hey Satheesh,

Thanks for your report! We were able to reproduce your crash in Rocket Beta 5 and can report this crash has been fixed in our latest internal build. We expect you should not run into this crash in future Rocket Beta releases.

Thanks!

-Steve
