Search help

  • Simple searches use one or more words. Separate the words with spaces (cat dog) to search cat,dog or both. Separate the words with plus signs (cat +dog) to search for items that may contain cat but must contain dog.
  • You can further refine your search on the search results page, where you can search by keywords, author, topic. These can be combined with each other. Examples
    • cat dog --matches anything with cat,dog or both
    • cat +dog --searches for cat +dog where dog is a mandatory term
    • cat -dog -- searches for cat excluding any result containing dog
    • [cats] —will restrict your search to results with topic named "cats"
    • [cats] [dogs] —will restrict your search to results with both topics, "cats", and "dogs"

Supporting SteamVR dashboard

Hey guys,

So everything is going well and I've got my project running well on both SteamVR and OVR.

Now the question I have is: Is it possible to support the SteamVR dashboard with the back button?

I looked through all the SteamVR documentation and there's not much past 'how to get your game to launch on the Vive' type threads.

I want to be able to bring up the SteamVR dashboard when deploying on Steam. (Which I verified today doesn't work in my project)

Has anybody managed to accomplish this yet?

You mean the In-VR Steam menu, right? You don't need to do anything for that and I think you even can't.

I would need to double check if it always works while Steam is running but especially when your game is launched from Steam you will be able to bringt up the SteamVR dashboard without having to do anything since it is a functionality from SteamVR that has nothing to do with your game.

And if I remember right that if you have a non-Steam game it will simply say that you are currently running a non-Steam application, I could be wrong on that point though.

TL,DR: We didn't need to do anything for our Steam game to be able to show SteamVR dashboard since it is a SteamVR functionality independed of your application

Never marked this as correct.

Had someone else testing the SteamVR stuff for me as I don't own a Vive. Once the application was launched properly through SteamVR it was accessible.

Thanks :)
