Did two sided replace two sided foliage?

I know it should be common sense but im looking at tutorials on youtube from just last month and I see two sided foliage on their shader list but not mine… guessing maybe their using an older version of ue4

Hi Anthony,

Yes the shading model was changed to two-sided in lieu of Two-Sided Foliage because the shading model has been expanded and can be used for more than just Foliage now. This should remove any assumptions that it could only be used for foliage, even though at the time of implementation that’s all it was mainly used for, which made more sense with the naming.

I hope this helps.

Tim

Thanks alot =]

in 4.18 the shading model is again called Two-Sided Foliage, isn’t that cool?
