sketchup fbx import to UE 4.13 not make auto Generate lightmap UVs ?

Hi Geohow,

Sketchup geometry can be complex sometimes and may not be well suited for the auto-generated lightmap method since all it will do when it generates the lightmap is re-pack the texture lightmap (UV Channel 0) to not have any overlapping faces or wrapping UVs.

In previous versions there is no problem
for example up to version 4.12 on simple geometry the created automatically UVs in Channel 1
I mention this as a bad functioning

Yeah that’s a completely different issue than what you initially posted.

There is one ticket that was already reported here where OBJs would continually not import with their UVs from 3Ds Max: Unreal Engine Issues and Bug Tracker (UE-35608)

The FBX issue was inconsistent with this happening from what a colleague was telling me with exception to Sketchup. That’s being investigated on another post here though and we may just amend the ticket linked above or create a new one based on his findings.
