4.13 crash on editor launch after conversion

Since 4.13’s release I haven’t been able to convert the project and then successfully run it. It will always stop at 93% on opening and at that point crash. Included is the set of files the crash handler output
Thanks for any help on this

Hello,

  • Could you please cause the crash to occur again and provide the Machine ID from the Crash Reporter window (assuming you are getting one).
  • Does this occur if you open a clean project in 4.13?

Here’s the machine ID: B963DD014E05B0B3323B80B507AD1DD8

I can open any clean project in 4.13, and a different project I have converted.

Hello,

After investigating this issue, it appears to be a crash related to a blueprint cyclical dependency when creating a default subobject for instanced properties. Unfortunately, there is no known workaround at this time other than to try and break the cyclical dependency. The ticket number for future reference is UE-34568, and it is currently being investigated by our developers.

Also, we are currently unable to make the issue public as it contains potentially sensitive information.

Let me know if you have any further questions. In the meantime I’d recommend sticking with 4.12.5 if you aren’t having any issues until this crash has been resolved.

Have a great day

That happening to me too, but only in one computer, I had anothers and those can create a new project, like a FirstPersonal Shooter Template, and when I update one project made in 4.12.5.

My Machine Id: A3DF5CD14391A51DFA7DB6A9075C4004.

Hello,

This appears to be a slightly different crash, so if you could, please create a new Answerhub topic in the Bug Reports section.

Thanks

Hi There,

We have the same problem here, trying to convert our project from 4.12.5 to 4.13 and it crash also on play.
In our case we need 4.13 to add Entitlement Check (for an oculus app).

If you have any recommandation it could help us!

Thanks

Perfect!
