Alembic not displaying in standalone game

I am using the Alembic tools in 4.13 for running a vertex (cached) animation. It mostly runs fine in simulate, viewport, and new window (PIE). But when I choose to play a standalone game, it doesn’t show up at all. Not sure what’s happening here but everything else performs as it should.

Will this fix be included in a 4.13 hotfix? Seems like it was a highlighted feature of 4.13, it’s a shame if we have to wait until 4.14 to actually make use of it in packaged games. !

For the time being it appears that this is targeted for 4.14. Some aspects of alembic files were experimental for 4.13 (in this case cached geometry). This issue shouldn’t occur with other types of alembic meshes.

The use of them in 4.14 should be much more stable as there have been many bugs that have been addressed already!
